Metoprolol vs Homeopathy

I have several clients taking a medication called Metoprolol (one of the benefits of utilizing homeopathic remedies is that they can be used alongside prescription medication.)  I look up the side effects of my client’s medications, as often their symptoms may be effects (rebranded as side effects) of their medications.

This is one of many ways homeopathy differs from prescription medications.  There are only effects with homeopathic remedies.  We calculate in it all. Side effects in drugs are just effects, they just don’t happen to be the ones deemed important to the drug manufacturer.

I utilize the website drugs.com to look up the side effects of allopathic medications. https://www.drugs.com/metoprolol.html

On drugs.com it says that Metoprolol is generally used to treat angina (chest pain) and hypertension (high blood pressure).

On this same site, advertised “for healthcare professionals,” I found it shocking to see that Metoprolol has up to a 27.5% side effect of heart failure. This is listed in the “very common” section under cardiovascular. However, in the “What is metoprolol?” section it says, “Metoprolol is also used to lower your risk of death or needing to be hospitalized for heart failure”.  Somehow this drug reduces your risk of death or being hospitalized because of heart failure while having heart failure listed as a very common side effect. Perplexing!
